
Who are we?
The Model United Nations of Xiamen (MUNOX) was established in 2009 by the Manila Xiamen International School. Until the current year, MUNOX has been annually hosted in Xiamen, China. For the past years, MUNOX has always strived to nurture global awareness and develop students into critical thinkers. Being one of the longest-running conferences in China, MUNOX has been a platform for students to make new friends and learn for several years. MUNOX will continue to provide a space for passionate learners to debate on global issues around the world.

Why MUNOX?
Experiences as Under-Secretaries-General
MUNOX offers the position of Under-Secretaries-General (USG) to grades 9 to 12 students from the Manila Xiamen International School. The USG is divided into four different departments, which are the following: USG of Delegation, USG of Foreign Affairs, USG of Finance and Logistics, USG of Media and Technology.

DAIS Opportunities
Students are given the opportunities lead as Directors and Assistant Directors in the conference. DAIS applications are open to any students from the middle and upper school department around the world that are willing to be part of the MUNOX event. MUNOX encourages collaboration and communication between DAIS members to create a professional atmosphere during the conference.

As a Delegate of MUNOX
All delegates participating in this conference will be awarded a participation certificate, which may serve as additional credential for students’ college portfolio. As delegates, they will represent various nations, develop their skills in negotiating, debating, writing, and presenting. Special awards will also be given to delegates that have performed excellence in their respective committees. Awards includes the following: Best Position Paper Award, Best Potential Award, Honorable Mention Award, Outstanding Delegate Award, and the Best Delegate Award.
