FISSCA Middle School Basketball Tournament 2023

The main objective of the Basketball is to score points by shooting the ball through the ring or the hoop. You use strategies to prevent the other team from scoring. You can play basketball with a relaxing or competitive attitude or spirit. Either way, it’s a enchanting way to gain strength, coordination, confidence, friendship, and muscular endurance. It’s significance to students could not be ignored, so this year FISSCA (Fujian International School Sports & Cultural Association) hosted a middle school friendly match between international schools that also include MXIS egrets.

Players have undergone extensive training and bonding led by coach Cyrel; from schoolmates to buddies that share a bed, the improvement of egrets is revealing. The high school team and Coach Martin also assisted and helped with the development process of the newly formed team.

Egrets were scheduled to stay in Fuzhou for two and a half days. Both boys and girls performed well throughout the game and learned valuable lessons at the end of the day. As one of the players, I am a little disappointed not to be qualified to play at the championships; however, I enjoyed the company of my friends along this journey. Inside and outside the game, everyone had experiences to savor and appreciate. Nevertheless, congratulations to the girls for third place and the boys for fourth place in FISSCA middle school basketball this year.
