The Manila Xiamen International School offers several clubs and teams where students interact with each other and learn.

Social Media Crew (SMC)

The MXIS Social Media Crew (MXIS SMC) documents school activities, assists organizations with events, and publishes social media posts on the accomplishments students have made throughout the school year. MXIS SMC is supporting several school activities, such as the Model United Nations of Xiamen (MUNOX) CORE and ATL Day.

Business and Finance Club

The club is opened for MYP and DP students. It provides students with a platform integrating business theories and practice and create an open and diversified environment for club members to learn and enjoy. The club also joins business-related competitions and activities such as Business Simulations. Club members are able to cultivate their basic knowledge and interest in business, develop their abilities and potentials in financing.

Egret Carrier

The Egret Carrier Student Edition Team documents various activities and events that the students from the Manila Xiamen International School participate or organize. Writers participate or accompany every event, record detailed information, and interviewing participants. The team mainly produce news articles about the different activities and programs of the school. Other publish outcomes of Egret Carrier are creative writings such as poems or editorials.

TED Ed Club

The TED Ed Student Talks Program supports students as they discover, explore and present their big ideas in the form of short, TED-style talks. This is in an extracurricular setting and brings several personal and global ideas and issues to the school classroom, opened for MYP students. Groups of students get to meet and share their passions in an after-school setting, discover their core ideas and learn how to share them with the world. TED Ed Club members aims to present and share their inspiring and motivating ideas in front of audiences at a TED Ed Student Talk Conference.

MUN Club
Club Leader: Yu, Shih-Lei (Rex)
Co-Leaders: Li, Gongming (Miles), Chua, Gabby, Go, Gianna Reese
Opened for students from Grade 4 to 10, the MUN Club aims to train global learners to investigate and debate on current issues discussed all around the world. Students work towards possible solutions to resolve current international issues. The club allows students to develop critical thinking, research, and communication skills. Furthermore, MXIS annually hosts the Model United Nations of Xiamen (MUNOX) conference with students all around China.

Book Club
In the Book Club, MYP students addresses their experiences and thoughts with the various novels they read throughout the month under the guidance of their Language and Literature teachers. The setting and several literary techniques are introduced and share out. Every month at the end is when the Book Club members get together to share knowledges and lessons they have gotten from the books they read. Programs such as interviews, Question and Answer (Q&A) sessions, and refreshment times for students are provided.

Musical Club
Musical club gathers students who are interested in music and wish to share their enthusiasm for the subject with their peers. The club typically meets on a regular basis to practice and perform music together. Musicals are organized at school with the participation the club members as characters or staff team members. In addition to being a great way for students to make friends and practice their skills, musical clubs can also provide students with an opportunity to explore new cultures and make connections with people from different backgrounds.

Cheer Dance Team
Supervised by: Mr. Mitchel Africa
The school cheerdance team is a group of cheerleaders who come together to perform and support their school’s sports teams. Members wear uniforms in the school colors, perform stunts, and use pom-poms to cheer on their team. The goal of the team is to pump up the crowd and encourage their squad to victory.

World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) Club
Club Leader: Go, Roman Gerald
The World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) Club helps students to develop their critical thinking skills, debating skills, and confidence. It enhances the knowledge of students in various subject groups. The main goal of the WSC club is to participate in the ASDAN World Scholar’s Cup competition held around the world. In WSC, students encounter challenges such as collaborative writing, scholar’s challenge, scholar’s bowl, and team debate, which requires several knowledges and skills.

After-School Sports
For Lower School Students
After school hours, the lower school students could enroll in various sports programs done in and off school campus. Sports includes Football, Basketball, and activities that could develop the activeness of students.
Lower school sports sessions are divided into divisions: Grades 1 to 2 & Grades 3 & 5.

School Sports Teams
The Manila Xiamen International School offers various sports teams including basketball, volleyball, football, and badminton. Training sessions are done at the school campus after school or during weekends. Annually, high school and middle school tournaments for each sports are hosted by the Fujian International Schools Sports and Culture Association. The Egret Athletes achieves high position on every tournament against different international schools around China.
